Choptank Health Expands Mobile Health Outreach this Fall
Choptank Community Health System is expanding access to health care this fall with recurring Mobile Health Unit visits at Chesapeake College and Marydel, along with a special outreach event in Sudlersville.
Choptank Community Health System’s Mobile Health Unit is expanding access to well and sick care this fall at Chesapeake College and in Marydel, along with a special outreach event at Foxxtown Apartments in Sudlersville. Same-day scheduling and walk-up appointments are available.
Choptank Health’s Mobile Health Unit is visiting Chesapeake College from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 13 and Nov. 10. The unit will be stationed in the circle in front of the Health Professions and Athletics Center on the college’s Wye Mills campus.
“Bringing health care directly into the communities we serve helps remove transportation and scheduling barriers for many Mid-Shore residents,” said Choptank Health President and CEO Sara Rich. “Our mobile services make receiving care more convenient while connecting patients with Choptank Health’s comprehensive network of providers and resources.”
Choptank Health will also continue bringing its Mobile Health Unit to Marydel each Wednesday, with new afternoon hours from 1 to 4 p.m. at Marydel Community Hall, located at 130 Halltown Road in Marydel, Md.
A special mobile health outreach event is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Foxxtown Apartments in Sudlersville. The event will introduce residents to Choptank Health’s services and help connect individuals and families in the Sudlersville area with accessible health care.
Choptank Health’s Mobile Health Unit provides well and sick care. Same-day scheduling and walk-up appointments are available. Patients may schedule an appointment by calling 667-377-2004.
