Welcoming 2026 from Choptank Health President and CEO Sara Rich
Dear Friends and Partners,
As we welcome 2026, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported and counted on Choptank Community Health System for healthcare over the past year. Your trust, collaboration, and encouragement helped us continue providing essential care across Maryland’s Mid-Shore. Our partnerships with local organizations, schools, and agencies remained central to our work, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening community well-being.
Throughout 2025, our teams provided access to care to more than 34,000 patients, in ways that reflect our mission and our commitment to meeting people where they are.
We welcomed new primary care, pediatric, women’s health, behavioral health, and dental providers across several sites, which strengthens our ability to care for patients close to home.
We continued to deliver school-based services and celebrated national recognition months that highlight the importance of preventive, accessible health care for children and families.
Our women’s health program marked 20 years of service.
Our mobile dental and mobile medical teams reached more communities, including students and families in Dorchester County, in Marydel, and Millington.
And during National Health Center Week, we celebrated Choptank Health’s 45 years of service on the Mid-Shore, a milestone made possible by our community’s enduring support.
Thank you for supporting community health and for helping Choptank Health make a meaningful difference for the people we serve.

As we look ahead to 2026, we remain focused on providing access to care for all and continuing to improve the health of the Mid-Shore region. We are grateful for your trust and partnership in this mission.
